Totally non-triumphant, dude. My principal is moving. Moving far away. Very far away. In fact, she is moving to China. I just about broke down right there in the front yard when my mom told me. Mrs. Mack was my favorite-est principal EVER. I. Am. So. Devastatingly crushed. :(

Youth Conference!

Youth Conference was awesome! So spiritual and fun . . . I truly learned a lot about The Book of Mormon by re-living and acting out the stories like we did here at Youth Conference. Between being a Nephite fighting in a war (of capture the flag) and being like Nephi and having to ask for help to rebuild a bow, this was one of the most amazing times of my life. Dressing like Nephites was sure an experience, and fitting all of your belongings into a round, plastic tub was even harder. :) We learned how to interpret the storied in the scriptures in many different ways, and how to apply the teachings into our lives. The whole experience was a great, spiritual feast, and there is no way I would rather have spent that week.

Here's a pic of all the youth and the amazing leaders.

The "Tree of Life" re-enactment

All of the tents in the meadow by the lake, in front of a gorgeous sunset

All of the tribal families gathered for a group picture!

Brooke has come great things to say about YC too. Visit her blog post about it at:  http://brookelee13.blogspot.com/2010/06/yc-part-2.html

Is that hail?

Ping-ping-ping . . . is that hail? Oh my, we are having strange weather today, aren't we?

This week's survey . . .

I got the idea to have a poll on my blog from Brooke (thank you Brooke). This week's poll is: If you could have a super-power what would it be? The poll is to the right. . .
P.S. Sorry, I spelled invisibility like"invivibility", sorry.

Oaks Park!

Today we went to Oaks Park and went skating. Nope, no rides--just rollerskating. It was pretty sweet, even if falling down isn't the funnest thing in the world. We got to request songs to play while we were skating, so my friend Lauren and I requested Michael Jackson three times. For about 10 or 15 minutes there was a couple's skate where you could only skate if you held hands with one or more people. I really didn't want to take a break at the time, so Kyleigh Price and I had fun holding hands and helping each other stay on our feet. All that was great, but I think the highlight of our day was seeing our teacher, Mrs. Cook, who has been in the hospital because she had a baby. She came by to see us with her beautiful, blonde-haired baby girl! It was great to see both of them.
P.S. A few boys in our class bought Disney princess tattoos and stuck them on their arms. It was pretty funny.

Let Yourself Go . . .

We have these books at school called L.Y.G. (Let Yourself Go) books. We get to draw or write what ever makes us feel good. This is what I came up with yesterday: It's my name in things that I love.
