on bucket lists and the beach

Hey, y'all! Went to Seaside for my little bro's basketball tournament this weekend. It was cold, and windy, and a little rainy, and very February. Actually, it was just kind of Oregony. But awesome nonetheless!

I was just absolutely in heaven with all these little sea shops all over the place. It was so romantic! (Sorry, been listening to Anne of GG on cd again.)

Vintage candy store...

And this adorable, delicious thing. On the inside of the wrapper there was an exerpt from Romeo and Juliet. ♥
From now all my chocolate must be wrapped in envelope wrappers please. Thank you.

First thing I saw upon entering hotel:
*Angel choir*

Next day we went to Nathan's games, and toured the shops some more.
That streetlight is a starfish. Your argument is invalid.

Okay. Now for the exciting. You might not know this about me, but my life goal as of two weeks ago has been to find a malt shoppe, like from the 50s. You know, you sit at barstools drink milkshakes, listen to Elvis, stuff like that.

So you can understand my freaking out when I found these.

I'm in love.

And then there was this lovely thing.

Swag...
...you're doing it right.

The beach was freezing and I almost got blown away, but HOLY PRETTY.

Nice man named Tommy making our ice cream. Yummy, yummy, yum. So much yum.

I love Oregon.

bam, right in the childhood

I was looking for Disney songs the other day, just because that's what I do sometimes, and I came across this.

I haven't seen this movie in like, over five years. This song...it just gave me the best kinda nostalgia, ya know? Almost started crying. Hit me right in the childhood.

This doesn't have anything to do with reliving your childhood, but check out what Nicole found at the thrift store...

Oh yeah, baby. I'm rocking that sucker. It matches with literally every shirt I own. AND. It's brand-name Under Armor. Only 20 dolla bills. Yes, please. Tags still on...$69.99 in store.

People at school the other day when I wore it would tell me, "Cute jacket," and I'd just say, "Thrift shop." And every once in a while I'd get one of THOSE looks, like Oh, you're one of THOSE people. Seriously, if you think thrift shopping is lame, just, be gone from me.

Especially after this song just came out. (Don't worry, it's one of the good, clean, cover versions.) Lindsey Stirling just makes everything better.

But hey, haters gonna hate.

This is something awesome,
Nicole

some faith in humanity...

...has been restored.

Let's all be awesome and do the Freddie...

Because this kid is incredible. If we all grew up to be like this boy, the world would be great.

Here. Have some awesome.

Sooooooooo................

I was going to be productive last night, but then Pinterest happened.

But that's okay, because now you get to partake of all this awesome that I found while I was wasting time on the internet that you might've never stumbled upon had I been being responsible and replacing my rubber bands like I was supposed to be doing.

Go. Partake of the awesome.

Before I end this post which is getting way too long, I've noticed there's definitely a list-theme going on for my posts this year. Have you noticed? I've noticed. Here's another one.

Fourteen Things That Made Today Awesome

1. It was SUNNY!!!

2. When we got to school, the ASB and Leadership kids had covered the entire school with our Share the Love fundraiser program decorations. Every locker had some kind of cute/hearty/pink thing on it. It just made me happy.

3. 1 period P.E. was a classroom working day instead of a gym workout day. (That means I got to wear an extra cute outfit to school.)

4. My favorite sub taught our Spanish class.

5. In World Studies we had an awesome debate-slash-free-for-all-argument in class and Mr. Hagen didn't even care that me and M and K ate the chocolate chips and almonds from my lunch while we were doing it.

6. SHARE THE LOVE ASSEMBLY WAS AMAZING! It was incredible to see how much a whole school can care about one family. I cried.

7. No seriously, I cried.

8. Brooke and her sister Megan performed a song that they wrote during the assembly, and it was be-YOU-tiful! I love you guys.

9. Friend P decided last minute to try out for Mr. MHS which means we can make "Vote for Pedro" t-shirts.

10. Yeah. Like from Napoleon Dynamite.

11. I got away with wearing skin-colored nylons underneath my capris so I wouldn't have to wear socks with my flats. Score.

12. I cleared up some drama with one of my friends and we both feel so much better. Yay for having the courage to say sorry and just be happy!

13. I got into concert choir.... :)

14. IT IS STILL SUNNY!!!

I love you all. May your days be merry and bright, and may all your Fridays be awesome.
